Bus at entrance of Cabana Bay

Just like at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando offers free on-site transportation. Personally, I think most will agree however that Universal’s transportation is way more convenient. If you’re staying at any of the deluxe resorts, you’ll find Universal’s water taxi. Personally I could ride the water taxi back and forth quite a bit. It’s a lovely ride that gives you some great views, especially of the Universal globe if you’re traveling to/from the Hard Rock Hotel or Portofino Bay Hotel.

If you’re staying at Cabana Bay, Universal offers complimentary bus service to/from CityWalk all day. The buses run incredibly often, but to some, being dropped off at CityWalk can be an inconvenience if you’re carrying a bag as you’ll have to pass through bag check with non-resort guests, where as the water taxis drop you off on CityWalk already.

There’s one more form of transportation. The Orient Express Rickshaws will service you from CityWalk to your hotel. This service is also free, but please be aware that the drivers are only paid in tips.
