After a 6-year return of its 3rd run at the Magic Kingdom, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” nighttime parade will officially end on October 9.

The long-running parade has been a staple of nighttime entertainment at Disney parks, first appearing at the Magic Kingdom in 1977. The parade has bounced between several of Disney parks over the past 39 years, and will now be heading to Disneyland in California to replace the “Paint the Night” nighttime parade.

As of now, no replacement for a nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom has been made. Rumors suggested that “Paint the Night” may end up in the Magic Kingdom, but the parade is expected to remain in Disneyland for “sporadic performances”.

Until then, guests at the Magic Kingdom can enjoy hearing the “Baroque Hoedown” for the next 2 months before saying goodbye for the 3rd time.
