Both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood have announced their Independence Day plans and are celebrating the 4th of July with festivities and fireworks.

Included with park admission to Universal Studios Florida, guests can enjoy a character dance party with some of Universal Orlando’s most popular characters in the Music Plaza, with live music performances by the band Raydio and DJ M Squared. New this year, guests can order barbecue favorites for delivery from the new Monsters Cafe menu to the Music Plaza, directly through the official Universal Orlando Resort app.

The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. at the Music Plaza and will continue until when the park closes at 10 p.m. The pyrotechnics display, with confetti cannons, will take place over the Music Plaza starting at 9 p.m., followed by Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration at 9:45 p.m in Central Park.

Universal Studios Hollywood will also be celebrating Independence Day with its first ever July 4th fireworks celebration, inviting guests to enjoy a spectacular aerial display that will take place in multiple locations within the theme park – synchronized to a score of Universal-themed music and patriotic favorites. Hollywood’s fireworks display begins at 9:30pm.

In addition to the fireworks display, guests will also be able to enjoy a showing of the “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” nighttime show. The celebration is included in the price of admission to Universal Studios Hollywood.
