Shrek 4D Undergoing New Film?
Quote:[color=teal]After discussion with a Universal Studios Florida engineer (Will remain nameless) it has been made clear to me that the Simpsons Rumor is a diversion, apparently often used when a ride is to close.

The replacement for the ride, date of full closure not yet decided, is one of two things.

The first and least likely, is a BattleStar Gallactica ride. Although no details are available, it seems a viable option as the long running TV show is still current and still on Unversals "USA" channel.

The second option which I'd guess would be more popular, is what we'd all suggested, a major re-work of the current ride. All current equipment would be removed and the ride would be completely re-made, although keeping with the current style.

Shrek will soon go through a change as a new film is due for release and the current 4D film is now dated (Go figure T2:3D)..

The latest rumor also includes news of a new movie plot for Shrek 4D, simply because as stated above the current presentation is too old, or outdated so it doesn't match with the current lineup.

Details to follow once we receive them.

Mixed emotions here. Whie I'd love to see something with Puss N Boots, I love the movie as is. If it ever were to change, I'm glad you are able to pruchase the Shrek 4-D film so it will never 'completely' disappear.

RE: Shrek 4D Undergoing New Film?
Actually if you bought the shrek 1 & 2 in a special case thing you get the ride also. Well as in the film... So if i even wanted to ride it just pop it in the dvd player and put on the glasses. No need for a (on-ride) video. LoL. & Jon, what about T2? ANyways I know this is off topic but it would be neat/ expensive to redo the whole Ride T2 really making it T3-3D Or possible T4-3D. New preshow for the outside tv. (Very 80's dressing so bring it to the 2007 please) And new indoor preshow. Maybe relpacing kim with a dude. And new film. adding the TX and other special stuff. Or the plot of T4 if its ever coming. Like they might do with shrek.

I wouldn't want Terminator 2:3D to change. I consider it the last of the sequel. Terminator 3 was just a disgrace to the series.

None so far. I wouldn't be surprised if this new film was released during the same time as the movie.
