Anybody's Thoughts?
Does anybody think that they should replace this show? It's fine with me if they keep it for another 10 years(I guess),but that's just it. It's been there for 10 years. And it's based on a movie that is not very popular right now and that bombed at the box-office. Yes, the show is, like, the top rated theme park show in the world, and it's a very nice show. But can't they just get a new show based on a movie that's popular and up to Waterworld's standards? And if you think so, what do you think would make a good show?

RE: Anybody's Thoughts?
If they could come to a show that meets Waterworld's standards, then I'm all up for a new show. They'll be dealing with a problem though, the bar has been raised ever since the introduction of the show, and anything below that high standard will be a disappointment to fans, in my opinion. Look at Beatlejuice. After that show left the castle theater, a string of bad productions started entering that area. Spiderman, and Fear Factor Live!

It's still one of my favorite attractions next to the Studio Tour, and I always attend a performance during my visit to the park. It would simply be better if they could introduce another show without destroying a current production. Wild Wild West Stunt Show is sill a great venue that could be used.

At the moment, I just don't see a Universal movie that could be turned into a stunt show.

I dont know about anyone else but a think a king kong show would be a great idea. The stage could easily be set up into skull island and they could build a very nice animatronic king kong if they wanted to spend some money. This would be a great show.

I don't see how it would play out though. An electronic controlled Kong figure would be extremely complicated, and vulnerable to problems of all sorts.

RE: Anybody's Thoughts?
A-Team, Miami Vice, Waterworld. I feel that Waterworld has set itself as the ultimate live action stunt show. This show works for the audience and it should stay as long as the Seaplane brings in the guests. What USH has done with everything has been to revamp the current venue into another show with many of the same old effects. The collapsing tower in Waterworld is the same tower from Miami Vice as well as the water tower. I feel that Waterworld is the only venue at USH that sets us apart from Orlando. Keep it as long as it sells. If USH were to remove it, then remove it completely and start fresh with a new venue. That should be enough space for The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman! (But, how old would that attraction be by the time its released?)

Wild West theater anyone???? Oh yeah, that would be a great breakroom for Show Control!

RE: Anybody's Thoughts?
I also read the rumors for Spider-Man taking place of Waterworld. But I don't think that's the direction USH should go with. Both attractions are amazing, I must say. But when there's a movie stunt show to replace Waterworld, take it. Wild West may become a Central Park (I actually wouldn't mind, it'd be like a central hub). Waterworld to be show building?? Where are we going to have our stunt shows performed??!! Possibly Castle Theater and partly T2:3D. That's it. That would be a sad day.

RE: Anybody's Thoughts?
I can foresee that the Waterworld area will continue to hold up a stunt show of one form or another using the current audience format. They've been holding a stunt show in there for over 14 years now, and I have a feeling it'll stay like that.

Universal Studios needs a large scale stunt show like Waterworld to uphold the Hollywood theme they have going on. It'll almost be expected that a large scale studio such as Universal host a large stunt show for guests, especially for a park that's so far connected within the studios.

RE: Anybody's Thoughts?
There were rumors or thoughts before about a Rush Hour stunt show for the Wild Wild West Theater. Then that faded away. Then someone mentioned having a Borne Identity/Supremacy/Ultimain(sp) stunt show to replace Waterworld. But I think a Rush Hour stunt show would be more promising. The Rush Hours films are released by New Line Cinema, a part of Warner Bros. WB has dealt with Universal parks before with Beetlejuice, the rumored Harry Potter, etc. And Rush Hour would be a nice reminder of Miami Vice. So basically combine elements of Miami Vice, Waterworld, and some unique elements to the new show.

How much was the A-Team show like Disney's Lights, Motors, Action?
