Does any one know the requirement to be a host for the special effects stages?

Hosts-Comedic, improv actors who can read an audience well and interact with individual guests while performing.

Requirements: Quick witted, funny male and female hosts with improv experience.

All performers hired for Special Effects Stages will be covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists.

What you should know before auditioning for any entertainment role...

1. If you are under 18 years old you can apply for a position in the Atmosphere Entertainment department. If you are interested please contact the staffing department. Shows and Crew do not hire minors.
2. If you already work at Universal Studios Hollywood, it is recommended that you contact the Staffing Department prior to auditioning for any necessary paperwork.
3. For Auditions, please come dressed to move, including dance shoes and/or tennis shoes.
4. Bring a snack and drink in case the day runs long.
5. For Auditions, please bring a headshot and resume for EACH role you are auditioning for.
6. Remember that most roles cast in the entertainment department are very type specific and casting will reflect those standards.

Actors

Prepare a one minute comedic or up beat monologue. Improv games, cold reading and a costume fitting may be required for selected candidates.
