RE: Behind the scenes
Here's a great website with more insight on how T2:3D was made.

RE: Behind the scenes
Maybe when Univeral is done with T2 they can do Avatar. Now that would bring a Hell of allot of people in. A auditorium surrounded by screens. with seats the swivel in circles. lol

I think Terminator still has a bunch of kick before its let go. In fact, I'll be very surprised if they happen to close it anytime soon. It's still very relevant and impressive to this very day.

Avatar, on the other hand, I could see going somewhere else in the park. I hear they're planning to make a few sequels, so it might be best to wait until we see how all that pans out. But by and large, Avatar is extremely successful. Too bad Universal didn't distribute it, since I could easily see them expanding the franchise to Universal Orlando or Universal Studios Hollywood. And even if they do adopt it, it'll be the second major attraction based off a Fox movie.

Ya i love T2 and it still has a long way to go before its changed but i wish the stage managers would show a little more respect to the Theme park goers. I attend frequently and have been disappointed because allot of the time not every thing is actually working and it can be little things like smoke or a robot not coming up. I think universal some times gets lazy with there repairs. Jaws bridge has been down for a while. Have you heard anything on that?

The JAWS bridge? Hmm, I recall it not lowering a while back, but I'm not sure of its current state.

RE: Behind the scenes
I was told yesterday that the JAWS bridge tilt has been removed due to cost of repairing it. At the moment, Transformers is sucking all of the cash at USH and the JAWS tilt is not top priority. Sad, but economic.

RE: Behind the scenes
The mechanics on JAWS must be ancient. I would hope they're using updated parts. I mean, the original concept to the bridge tilt must be at least 30 someodd years old. Could not imagine the costs of repairing obsolete parts.

I don't blame them, but again, a bit of a disappointment.

RE: Behind the scenes
Yeah. But come on i really miss that tilt doesn't anyone else? they really need to rethink jaws i would love for the tram to travel on a path that is right in the middle of the water. and jaws would pop up in both sides. now that would be freaky. what do you guys think?
