The Simpsons at Universal: Don't get too excited just yet!
By Gareth H: News I received from an attendee at the "Behind Closed Doors" at the Orlando Tourist Board Meeting, held at the Orange County Convention Center, on Tuesday, April 24th.:

Aparrently, Universal Studios have admitted that the New Simpsons Ride will be a very cheap re-fit of the Back to the Future Ride, incorporating existing fittings, especially the cars.

The overhaul and relaunch of the ride is to be as cheap as possible due to NBC's Minimal Spend approach.

This would be similar to the Jimmy Neutron Ride, which replaced Hanna Barbera a few years back!

Carl Laemmle Wrote:"...just think what this would mean..to see the inner workings of the biggest moving picture plant in the wide, wide world. See how we have to use the brains God gave us in every conceivable way in order to make the people laugh, cry or sit on the edge of their chairs the world over!"

I told you this would happen. Crap attraction! Poor Universal.

Finding Nemo is scheduled to open at Disneyland on June 11. This was an extremely expensive refit of an old attraction. That is the way it should be. Disney wins again.

Keep the quality, keep BTTF!

I honestly don't expect the ride to last very long once it opens.

I agree. However, when you spend money on an attraction, they will not eliminate it too soon. Wait for the FOX contract to give out. I think if you are going to use the same building and design, why waste it on a crap attraction?

I hope it surprises me.

I do not think people will be flooding through the gates of Universal for a Simpsons ride...sorry.

Most reactions to the ride are kind of negative.

well yeah this ride is going to be huge at first, if it sucks then the crowds will drizzle down soon after maybe a year or two. I got bored of BTTF.
