SPOILERS BEGIN!
After the final bunny hill you stop suddenly and the scary music from the movies play. dunno what song title but the mummy version of the "jaws" theme. Complete darkness. you cant see a thing.. then start to turn left and a overload of the senses begin. Sudden strobe lights flicker and fog engulfs the room. you don't know were anything is.. chaos of sound, slight, darkness. navigation. something big is gonna happen. while fog still looms in the air you see Impotep, small purple sand face yell something, most likely no!! His face turns counterclock wise like a whirlpool and vanishes. A second later the great blinding flash blinds you and when you recover you see the station infront of you.

Update While looking around youtube I found a new vid containing the new ending. Just to get a feel for it, you dont see any strobe lights at the end or before the coaster part

Update

Nothing special but a great finish non the less. way better than before. I rode it 4 times not counting the riders while in line always cheer and clap and the end. Obvilously really happy and the loved it. Revenge of the Mummy is getting older and better since its 04' release. maybe it can go under rehab to complete its list of "fear." With the ending having complet darkness. speed, bugs and death still need to find its way home in the ride. other than the flash of light that blinds everyone many people and myself thought something BIG was gonna happen. Flash is ok but something else could of happened too.

When I first went through that scene, I thought the ride broke down. Turns out it was the new ending as you described.

I don't know, I'm a bit mixed on the new ending. It just seems like a cheapened version compared with the original ending, without the main projection and the fire effects. Then again, the ending was never something you could rave about.

Because of summer heat wave coming, or just a new change after 3 years operating. By the way I got a feeling that the fog in the final was the liquid nitrogen thats gonna be really cold, I just thought it smelled bad.. lol

Sounds like they F'd things up again. I can't wait to see it.

Anyone remember how they messed with King Kong? Then they chose to put it back the way it was because the change was so terrible!!!

They set up the attraction as though it was a production set. When the tram drove into the sound stage, there was no sound or effects. Then you hear a loud voice call "Lights, effects, camera, action!" And then the attraction began with the helicopter crash and continues with the King Kong attraction.

Very poor change for no reason. The entire video of the news reporter and helicopter was removed. I am glad they realized it and changed it back quickly! This was in 2000 or 2001, I think.

I'm very mixed on the new ending. It didn't feel very climatic for some reason. I dunno. I need to ride it again.
