DiscoverUSF wants to know the differences...
Okay here we go...
For those of you who have been on both Mummy Attractions, now is the time to pull out your thinking caps and start talking about what you like about both attractions, what you dislike, and differences between the two versions. Pictures are most definatly welcome.

I will allow someone else to begin with the discussion, I want to see where this starts...

We will also have a poll on which attraction is favored.

Hollywood tends to me strict about what you can and can not bring on the Mummy, hence such few videos.

But after experiencing both attractions, I feel both have their pros and cons. Florida has more show portion, while we have more coaster portion. It depends what suits your taste.

RE: DiscoverUSF wants to know the differences...
Well i'll go ahead and throw in my .02 cents...

I prefer the Hollywood version over the Florida version.
First off, I enjoy the storyline of USH over USF. It's really hard to get into a storyline that is "your on a movie set". I just feel like there is no depth there, thus making it difficult to get involved and experience the ride better. USH has a better coaster portion, whereas USF has better show qualities such as the full-size Imotep, and great fire-effects. I know that USH has an animatronic Imotep before the launch, but the one in Florida is much more articulated.

I also feel like USH did a much better job of using the space they had. The Kongfrontation building was MUCH larger than E.T.'s show building, yet I don't think they used the space very effectively.

Okay, i'm done with my rant.

anyone else feel the same as me?

RE: DiscoverUSF wants to know the differences...
I agree they both have their qualities. USH has a good tone to the attraction. I have not seen the new summer ending, although I heard its terrible. The ending has always been weak with the turntable at the very end of the ride (This was a huge mistake). I feel that guests take that as a buildup to the ride instead of an ending. They are then let down with the experience because it was so short with a minimal climax. I enjoy the simple storyline of the power Imhotep has during the solar eclipse. Very simple, nicely executed.

USF on the other hand has the one thing USH does not...space. USF has great visuals and a much more in depth coaster. The storyline sucks and you can't understand it (unless you pay attention like me). I also did not like the Men In Black style ending with Brenden Frasier on the screen.

USH needs to take a few pointers from USF and add more CO2 effects inside the show room. I guess that the old ET building does not have a fire code on it since USH has no fire effects.

So, choose your poison. Both attractions have pros and cons. You decide which you like best....
