I enjoyed the original ORIGINAL, you know, with the original splash that actually got you wet naturally, not forced with cannons and spraying water.
But I still like the wetter than ever version. It's nice to get soaked on that ride again, even if it feels cheated. What I absolutely hate is that applause sound effect at the end of the ride. It cheapens the experience. flickr :: iPhone flickr |

LOL,
I noticed that too. Very forced applause audio!!! It seems like a lower lot guest experience tool. On the Mummy, the crewmembers applaud as well when you end the ride. I hate that. thats funny, I've been to Universal three times this summer and been on JP and mummy many times; on all the endings everyone was happy, laughing and clapping and overall showing they had a great experience.

Well, looks like they turned off the improved splashdown during the off season. They've added a sign at the entrance indicating whether or not they've turned on the feature.
