Yet another Refurbishment
Looks like they're giving some of the dinosaurs a face lift. Maintenance lights were also on this weekend.

RE: Yet another Refurbishment
I am happy to see quality control on Universal's product. Let's keep these rides in good shape. USH needs it!

RE: Yet another Refurbishment
I'm curious to know if the ride was closed? If not where were the maintenance lights on?

You should see the list of things that are broken/need refurbs that most people would never notice. Things like the fake control panel in the final scene which has not been touched since the ride opened and looks terrible when the lights are up, but is in the dark for guests so it doesn't matter. Also if you look behind you in scene 4 (the caves) some of the ceiling is gone, but you can only see it if you are turned around so it hasn't been fixed. Operations staff makes these lists and since they see the ride everyday they notice everything, but most of it is not important. Maintenance has dates when they say they will fix certain things on the list, but some have been pushed back for a year or more. The big effects/figures are always well maintained and these rolling rehabs are normal.

RE: Yet another Refurbishment
Yup.
I wrote in my notes for years to have signs on the Starway escalator for safety in English and Spanish. This did not come to pass until I left USH to persue another job!

Some politics are very slow. Especially maintinence.

They closed off the ride for an hour to fix some complications. They were running empty boats during the off time.
