Blast Zone to be rethemed
The Nickelodeon contract is up for USH and the Blast Zone is going to close shortly for a re-theme. The word has been that the Blast Zone will become a Curious George playground area. Expect the main structures to be the same with some new paint and signs.

Typical Universal.

RE: Blast Zone to be rethemed
Makes sense. Should resemble a similar play area located at Universal Studios Florida.

RE: Blast Zone to be rethemed
I think even Woody Woodpecker would have more success with kids than Curious George!!! CG is just soo young!

not entirely sure but I think curious george is only popular in the states anyway plus like Skillz said CG is so young.

However, I have to point out that Niceklodeon is Viacom which is Paramount. Paramount bought Dreamworks which owns Shrek. It just seems that Universal does not make any good franchise products anymore. Will Shrek go next?

RE: Blast Zone to be rethemed
Does it really have to be a retheme?

RE: Blast Zone to be rethemed
Shrek is on another contract with Universal. I'm betting it'll stay for another three years, at the least.

The Woody Woodpecker franchise isn't as strong as Curious George. After all, there was a recent movie made after him.

Carl Laemmle Wrote:"...just think what this would mean..to see the inner workings of the biggest moving picture plant in the wide, wide world. See how we have to use the brains God gave us in every conceivable way in order to make the people laugh, cry or sit on the edge of their chairs the world over!"

RE: Blast Zone to be rethemed
Can't they just replace the whole structure with a completely new attraction?
