Preshow screens

Preshow screens
These new screens are very nice. I see they were set up for the closed captioning effects to be better. Orlando has not updated these screens and as far as I know, they do not have CC in preshow.

The USH preshow ticker has been removed, but the electronic board still remains. I hope this stays away...I don't like it.

RE: Preshow screens
What type of displays does the preshow now use? Projection?

RE: Preshow screens
It might be rear projection. It looks good for projection.

RE: Preshow screens
So it's simply a projection now. Any dividers to simulate multiple screens?

RE: Preshow screens
I agree that the new setup is very nice. I got to see it the other day and while it doesn't attempt to simulate multiple screens, you can't really tell from looking at the film that it was made for multiple screens. It just looks like a fancy editing job on the video. I wish they would make the closed captioning go on and off though, cause it does distract you in the conners part. Maybe a setup like Disney where it's only on if someone needs it and tells a crew member.

RE: Preshow screens
Good to see they finally improved them. Ironic, isn’t it? After all these years, they finally replaced them after this thread was made.

Coincidence?

Does this mean that the VIC ticker has been removed? If so, do you perhaps know why they removed it?

RE: Preshow screens
Actually, the VIC ticker is still there. Otherwise, we'd wouldn't have much entertainment for the guests while the room is being loaded and they wouldn't know to say "Hi, Kimberley!!!"

Do not fear, a nerd is here!
