Anyone notice the new glasses handed out before the show? Seem more durable.

Shrek and T2 have been phasing in new glasses for over a year. I think they are almost at the point where they have all of the new type in circulation. The new glasses are smaller looking and have more plastic around the lenses. They are a lot harder to break.

So last, last Sunday we phased out those glasses and went back to the older design. There's still a few of the 2nd gen one's mixed in though - that's how I got this pic after we switched out. I've been told these are going to be glasses used at all of the 3D attractions: Shrek, King Kong, Transformers, and T2.

I remember phase 1 glasses and that crappy glasses room in T2. Ugh it was hot in there during the summer! I heard a new glasses machine is being built in Area 2 for Kong, is this true?

Yeah, I can't wait to figure out there ingenious way of not having 3D glasses spewed all over the backlot! How the hell are you going to give guests glasses and expect them to hold onto them for an hour without breaking or losing them???

I think it would be pretty cool if as the trams pulled up to kong there were glasses bins level with the seats on the tram so the people on the end could grab enough for the whole row. May be a problem with logistics, but far less of a problem then having everyone get glasses when they board the tram.
