Harry Potter will never come to USH

JK Rowling has only granted the rights to IOA and only approved that because there was enough space to do it right. She will not want to build another HP land/attraction unless it is done fully like IOA's, and USH has no space for that.

Unless they take out the part of the backlot that was earmarked for houses under the vision plan (which i think is dead due to neighborhood and city traffic complaints). Theres a decent sized amount of land there for a second theme park, it would be rather removed from the USH main entrance though.

Ya USH needs an increase in space but it has always been a movie studio with a theme park. But from what i hear they might expand. I mean what the hell get rid of that golf course and start to wow people again with large productions such as battle of galactica. The whole building was done on the outside you has a small experience with some rebels then are instructed to go in to the building and then are in the middle of a galactic fight with live actors, lasers, animatronics, explosions. That's what we want to see not the outside of what appears to be a sound stage.

Universal Vision is a farce of a plan. They plan on adding around 30 acres of "free space" for residents, while neglecting only 2 acres to the park itself. Hope it never goes through. Traffic in that area is already bad.

They don't own the golf course, sadly. Can't do much with it.

Yeah, Bob Hope (So I have heard) told his family to never sell the golf property to Universal prior to his passing. It would be a great location, but it is only a dream.

Guess that shatters any possibility of Universal buying that lot. Interesting how he should say that. Did he have anything against the studio at the time?

These are the stories I was told when Bob Hope was still alive while I worked at Universal. It seemed then, that Universal has always been interested in that land, but land in that area is very expensive and owned by very rich families. I was told there was some bad blood there in the past and Hope was stern with his decision to not give up the land.

That bastard is still making us miserable from beyond the grave. lol. Universal should really find a way of buying and developing that land. though ive heard that maybe they are thinking of expanding, dont know where though. This supposed expansion was to make the park more desirable for sale.
