Queue video system
I wonder if hulkcoaster2 or any employee could answer this.

What controls the queue's video and audio system, and how often is it maintained?

RE: Queue video system
Everything is on laser discs in control. The whole system is integrated into the ride control screens and can be turned on or off through that system. Sound and video sometimes makes sure its ok, but it was skipping and having some problems last time I was there.

RE: Queue video system
They're still using laser discs? Interesting, thanks for the information.

RE: Queue video system
The monitors show signs of wear and I was wondering if it was the video itself or the screens which need to be updated. I feel or JP needs a very heavy maintinence refurb. The dinosaurs are looking very sad lately.

RE: Queue video system
^The screens are the main problem as the laserdiscs are in good condition (all of BTTF's preshow was on laserdiscs and it still looked great after all those years). They have been moving around the broken monitors so that the ones in the best condition are in the first parts of the queue.

Jp's refurb this year was canceled due to BTTF being closed. They didn't want the only ride to be mummy.

Does Panasonic still furnish the monitors for the attraction, or has that sponsorship gone ever since Matsushita left the park?

RE: Queue video system
The monitors might have been made by them at some point but the labeling was removed a long time ago when the sponsorship ended. No new tvs have been installed recently. I think the main problem is that they probably want to replace all the screens with lcd but cant budget it right now.
