Just host the file (Photobucket) and add it to your profile using the [img][/img] tags. If you want, I'll do it for you. Just host the picture and link back.

A USH press release via Earth Times with another description about the new King Kong, this one includes "a close encounter with a swarm of monstrous bats."

RE: King Kong June 14, 1986 - June 1, 2008
I think that the move away from a large figure is going to be interesting, film based King Kong might be cool, but will it be as impressive as a huge animatronic? The 3d system sounds interesting though, as it will have to account for thousands of viewing angles (4 tram cars, multiple rows, unlimited field of vision from those rows....)
Also USH has way too many film based attractions already (Shrek, T2, Simpsons, and if Transformers turns out to be a spidy type ride). For a park with few attractions they need more actual figures and rides, granted this is on the Studio Tour, but still I think a large AA trex and kong would have been way better. I could be wrong though. Finally I can already foresee this as being an operational nightmare for the Studio Tour. Having to hand 3d glasses to every person that steps on a tram will mean a new glasses washing building will need to be built near the tram loading (currently shrek and T2 glasses are cleaned at T2). More staff will be needed to clean the glasses and distribute/collect. The shear number of people per hour the Studio Tour does in the summer will mean that 20x more glasses will be needed than a typical theme park 3d show. Plus what if a little kid drops his glasses somewhere else on the tour? Is he gonna be out of luck when the tram enters the Kong soundstage or will someone be there to replace glasses? I am impressed that USH will have transformers, a new kong soundstage, and most likely a new glasses cleaning room all under construction at the same time next year. They haven't put this much capital into the park in a while. |

they already make emergency stops for cell phones & sunglasses dropped from the tram, if the glasses are passed out before hand, this will just get more frequent (especially those parents who snag some for babies and toddlers)

I agree. I am interested in the 5 different ways USH plans to distribute the glasses for the Studio Tour venue. I can imagine this will be a nightmare that goes through many changes.
