Do you mean the midway? And if so, which videos? I haven't heard of anything.

Also they recently tore up the paint at the beginning of the queues, so it looks less terrible now. They have repainted more smaller sections outside also, we now have one of the yellow stars back! The new paint seems to be holding up much better than the old stuff, but it's early days yet!

I heard rumors that Orlando is having similar paint issues, can anyone comment?

Panda begs to differ!

The faux advertisements shown before guests view the preshow video. It seems to be occurring at the midway on the second floor.

I've seen pictures of it and it is indeed occurring, but it isn't nearly as bad as Hollywood.

RE: The Simpsons Ride - Reviews
A few pointers on Florida's version.

- Less monitors in the queue
- Smaller/less monitors in the Midway
- Volume too loud in some areas, too soft in others
- Queue seems really disjointed
- Back to the Future seems more evident

The whole ride was really underwhelming to say the least - even more so than Hollywood. The Midway was probably my biggest complaint. They cut the second level down to one large monitor (where as Hollywood has two), and used two smaller monitors on both level one and three. To add insult to injury, they didn't bother to mount them above the audience, so those in the back had a hard time viewing the preshow video. The whole queue also seemed disjointed and disorganized. It just didn't flow right, and I felt for the crew. Just one huge pain in the ass to navigate through, and you couldn't tell where you were going. Also, Back to the Future seems even more reminiscent in this building than in Hollywood's. It just felt cheaper.

Luckily, the crew members themselves made up for all these flaws. Met some very nice employees on this ride.

I read this quote on MiceChat and I think it spurs discussion. This was in response to my accusation that the Simpsons Ride was simply a cheap refit of Back to the Future.

Quote:I 100% DISAGREE. The Simspon's ride was not cheap. It was a great overlay.

Does anyone else share my opinion? Am I the only one noticing all the small details that make up the ride? I'd love to hear what you think.

I feel the USH version fit SImpsons much better than the USF building. But I am not a huge fan of the SImpsons ride. I would have much rather had a new BTTF video refit attraction.

Yeah, the Simpsons does fit Hollywood better, but I think we all have to admit that a Back to the Future refresh in this day and age is unrealistic.

Simpsons does feel like a decent replacement, but I hope the show continues for a few more years just to give the ride some longevity.
