King Kong replacement ideas
I'm interested in what some people want to see to replace the former King Kong attraction.

RE: King Kong replacement ideas
I feel that in keeping with the New York theme, it may be a tough to make, but I feel that a Spiderman attraction would be very fitting.

RE: King Kong replacement ideas
Despite the irony, I think something like Backdraft would be an interesting experience for guests. Makes for a great and simple plot.

Carl Laemmle Wrote:"...just think what this would mean..to see the inner workings of the biggest moving picture plant in the wide, wide world. See how we have to use the brains God gave us in every conceivable way in order to make the people laugh, cry or sit on the edge of their chairs the world over!"

RE: King Kong replacement ideas
I found this on screamscape.com and it gives info on what Universal might do with the former King Kong area.

Quote:2009/2010 - King Kong Replacement - Rumors - (6/27/08) Screamscape sources tell us that the park has been giving out new surveys that contain ideas about possible attractions to replace King Kong, which burnt down earlier this month. Most of the ideas are still fairly generic themed “stage” ideas at this point but the list is said to include: a Hellboy Stoungstage, a Sci-Fi themed stage, Horror stage, Stephen King branded Horror stage or a new King Kong set that would apparently try to create the 2005 films battle between Kong and a T-Rex. Ohhhhh… I’ve got to say I like the idea of that last one, but at the same time they’ve already got Dinos a plenty over at Jurassic Park. Maybe they should have Kong take on all those giant creepy killer insects from the film… or maybe take a page from Stephen King’s The Mist and send you off for an encounter with those nightmares. Of course I’ve got to show allegiance to “Big Red” and give support to Hellboy too, though I think Hellboy would perhaps be best used as a new action stunt show concept instead.

RE: King Kong replacement ideas
Redo King Kong with the same idea as before...the Bridge destruction scene, but completely renovate the Animatronic Kong with current technology. That would be an awesome tribute and a beautiful sight to see.

RE: King Kong replacement ideas
I agree. The Hellboy idea seems kinda iffy as it appeals to a smaller audience then King Kong and doesn't seem to have a value that would last just as long.

Do not fear, a nerd is here!
