Make Over Time!

RE: Make Over Time!
The ride is sometimes understaffed. For a while yesterday, I overheard that they had to cut down on vehicles since they were losing people to lunch breaks and etc. Occasionally they borrow Cybertechs to help staff their attraction.

If I'm not mistaken Simpsons is requires the most people to run at full efficiency. 3-4 people per floor x 3 floors on each side = 18-24 people plus the entrance, child switch, two control towers, and a couple roving leads. Thats a lot of people compared to all the other rides at ush.

RE: Make Over Time!
BTTF normally had 3 people on all levels except level 1 where they only had 2. When staff was tough, you would run level one with only 1 person. Now imagine summer time where both domes are open and you get sick calls. ugh. It always sucked to have Cyber Techs show up in their Cyberdyne uniform and operate in the Institute of Future Technology. It just broke "theme park" code. No offense to Cyber Techs...I married one!

No offense taken! Mdr I know what you're talking about. Occasionally we have HoH staff working the front of the T2 when we need people. I'm remember doing it myself - Van Helsing uniform working at T2. I heard Shrek also helps out sometimes at Simpsons.

RE: Make Over Time!
After two years, it's interesting how the ride has held up. Besides some problems with some of the monitors (some of them look like they're overheating...?), things look pretty good.

Surprising really. Especially how bad the whole place looked within the first few months of its debut.

The one thing I wish they would do is make the wind effects stronger. It kind of kills the illusion for me of not going fast if all I feel is a tiny breeze that I can just barely feel. Isn't there some way to make the wind stronger without making it too loud? I'm sure there is.

RE: Make Over Time!
I remember the wind effects being much stronger at the opening of the ride. Perhaps the mechanics have died down a bit.

But to answer your question, the larger the fan - the quieter you can circulate the air. They're stuck with numerous space constraints in those ride vehicles, do I'm sure they're doing the best they can with what they have.

RE: Make Over Time!
I think it's time for another major refurbishment. Today's ride was honestly painful, and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't find pain in even the worse roller coasters.

The whole ride vehicle was just creaking and croaking the entire time. Bad show.
