Make Over Time!
So I'm away for the last few days... I go to work and firstly notice that the park is more Halloweeny than normal. But I guess that was to be expected :P
Then I get to "Krustyland", and holy crap. Queue line rails are all wrapped in plastic. They have the majority of the area around the attraction blocked off. It would seem that massive repainting spree has began!! Almost all the old peeling disgusting purple crap has been totally torn up, and things look "clean" for the first time in a long time. Second, and less interestingly, there's internal work being carried out to the rides control systems, nothing non-Krusty Krewmemebers will ever see... but it's just more horribly designed Future stuff being removed and replaced with things that'll make lives much easier. But yeah, nice new paint coming up! Awesome! Panda begs to differ! |

RE: Make Over Time!
That's fantastic news to hear. Hopefully, they'll start using a more durable finish of paint like they did with Back to the Future.
Let's see how well this holds up.

RE: Make Over Time!
^^I'm assuming after they are done with the control systems those trailers in the back of the building will leave? Along with the wires that run from them into the building?

Up to now the consoles that were in use were from Future. Panda begs to differ! |

RE: Make Over Time!
^If you look there are huge cables running from them into the building. They should get rid of them either way though.

On first glance I totally misread this as "from the Future" and thought maybe Skynet is sending back theme park ride control computers instead of Terminators . . . they could do away with a whole lot of people with an evil theme park ride. . . . reducing the possibility of error to absolute zero.Follow me! @Opteak

RE: Make Over Time!
So is that why there was yellow caution tape all around the rides queue line area? i was just there about 2 days ago and noticed the whole section was blocked off by yellow tape.

RE: Make Over Time!
All the exterior queues have their new paint. All that's left are the pre-midways (the bits after the turnstile).
It seems they decided to not paint all the ground outside the attraction again, they just gave us back the stars and the lines. Which of course is better, as it now looks like Krustyland in the ride video and queue line video feed. Panda begs to differ! |
