Looks like they're including the ride footage as a bonus feature. Party

Yeah, I am not too happy they are not releasing on Blu Ray. We now have to wait for the next release of BTTF before a Blu Ray hits shelves. Come on Universal, don't you want to make some real money?

Aww, why couldn't they have the ride footage when I bought the trilogy DVD set? >_<
Even though I don't own a Blu-ray player, Universal should've also released a Blu-ray disc. (Unless the original footage isn't up to par with Blu-ray quality(?)) Every movie coming to DVD recently has come out with both a DVD format and Blu-ray format. (Makes me want a PS3 even more....)

Do not fear, a nerd is here!

As far as the movie is concerned, Blu-ray would have been the better choice. The actual ride footage not including the ride itself would probably be up scaled, since it wasn't made for high definition televisions in the first place. We're talking early 90's here.

I have heard rumors of a possible Blu Ray release soon, but no confirmation.

I just bought the DVD and I must say I had a lot of fun watching the entire queue video along with the entire ride video from the loading rooms and all. Great fun.

One complaint was with the onscreen display during the ride video. It forced much of the IMAX picture to be cut off and missing some of the image. Although I am not complaining because Universal never had to give this to us. Great job Universal!

I cannot believe it is gone. But I must again praise Universal for allowing the public to have this amazing attraction in our homes forever.
