Page Discussion: The Simpsons Ride
Quote:...again, don’t get me wrong, like I mentioned earlier, from a guests’ point of view who may not happen to notice all the ruminants of Back to the Future, the ride experience is fantastic and really does a great job at providing a fun experience overall. I don’t know. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I would have personally taken a different approach of redoing the entire building from scratch and creating something truly original.

RE: Page Discussion: The Simpsons Ride
I also agree, but we have to realize the cost side of operations. Was it worh it to spend so much money on BTTF and have the same ride return? Or is it worth spending that level of money and revamp the existing refurbishment into a new ride which will "hopefully" make turnstile counts go up???

I understand why they did it, but I do not agree with the choice of losing a classic staple Universal attraction. Why could they not keep BTTF and revamp the building one dome at a time like they always did during off peak season?

Oh well, too late!

I know, I know, but this ride's not going to look good in five years. Given the condition the building was in back when Future was still operating, I can already see parts of the Simpsons being worn out.

...but when you use that route, you still need to redo most of the building. Having Future and the Simpsons connected via one room is only asking for trouble.

I'm just still disappointed at how cheap the whole thing is. I mean, I even saw them use stickers in the hallways. Stickers!

Doesn't get any cheaper than that folks.

RE: Page Discussion: The Simpsons Ride
No argument here. I wish they just cleaned up BTTF and maybe made a new video for it. I am not a Simpsons ride fan.

You know, now that Despicable Me is deemed a hit, they should really push the Simpsons aside and use their own franchise for once.

I could see a great attraction based off that movie.

^They could find a way to remove the "coke soak" area and make a two story ride in that area, it would also fit the theme of the future (right next to T2)

I was thinking a ride like Toy Story or Men in Black

RE: Page Discussion: The Simpsons Ride
Will the parking lot support another structure? I know it's crumbling as is and a ride or show could potentially cause the foundation to collapse.

Plus, Men in Black is absolutely huge. Unless they demolish the structure entirely and build multiple stories, it's not going to work.

RE: Page Discussion: The Simpsons Ride
They could have done a little more with the outside of the building maybe a full change instead of just the front. Maybe put some motion in the building like a faris wheel that moves, a mini coaster going around. I love the ride though. the motion is better captured and the baby powder odor rocks. What about if for the 40 or 50 anniversary of BTTF movie they do a tribute ride and bring back the old one remastered? maybe? well i say that becuase im a total fan of the movies and ride i see all three movies about 2 times a year.

Says Disney Universal
