Virtual Queue?
I've heard that Universal Orlando is testing out a new queuing system on JAWS that assigns you a number of your ride vehicle and calls you whenever it's ready. It's an interesting concept at best, but I'm not sure how it can be applied on anything but JAWS.

Edit: Here's a better explanation - with pictures - http://orlandoparksnews.blogspot.com/201...queue.html

RE: Virtual Queue?
Maybe for the summers here in Hollywood BUT we dont have enough rides/shows that get THAT crowded during the off season (September-November January-May)

RE: Virtual Queue?
I think it can work on some rides but it would be ridicules to have an all ride and attractions.

RE: Virtual Queue?
Now that I think of it, it could very well work out with the Studio Tour - but the trams hold much more people than the JAWS boats. It'll be interesting to see how they plan to adopt this nationwide, if they decide to further it beyond Orlando.

RE: Virtual Queue?
I really do think this would be a great idea for the Studio Tour. But not for everything else. I think if they do it to everything then the midways would get way too crowded. And besides I think waiting in line is a big part of the experience for the attraction. Because it builds up your excitement.

RE: Virtual Queue?
If they do ever implement the system, they'll probably do it for annual pass holders or Gate A guests. I don't see it working as a guest-wide system. Just far too many people for them to keep track of.
