Halloween Horror Nights 2011
So John Murdy has released two code names for the 2011 mazes, GVBLACK and NICASIO. GVBLACK refers to a Dentist in the early 1900 who i think work with silver for the first time. And NICASIO is a city here in CA where the reboot of the Village of the Dammed was filmed. So anyone have any clue what these might mean?

I don't have a clue but I'd put my money on a Scream maze and many a THING maze too but I don't know anything about the clues that were given

RE: Halloween Horror Nights 2011
I would almost be certain Scream will show up this year. The only thing that would stop it from coming this year would be if the movie bombed.
As for the Thing, it got pushed back to October. I pretty much doubt it will come this year since John wants to see how it does in the box office first before even considering using it. On top of that, there were rumors stating that they pushed it back to water it down to a PG-13 rating to play it safe. That would further lower its potential of showing up by lowering the gore rating. The Wolfman I could actually see show up this year. It just won an Academy Award for best make-up, a sequel straight to DVD has been greenlit, plus its popularity is rising from ratings on cable TV. Trick r Treat is another property I see coming this year because of the high demand and the fact that the producer of that movie wants to team up with HHN this year. I wasn't really impressed with the movie, but I would LOVE to see it as a maze, if not an overall theme. Hostel is another possibility because Eli Roth has wanted to team up with HHN and the third film comes out this year. Not only that, but they can get away with reusing some leftover props from Saw without the hardcore fans crying in anger, "Repeat!" Notice how, judging by his Twitter, John has been hanging out with Rob Zombie quite a bit lately. I think we'll see Rob Zombie do something with John again but in a new terrifying adventure in ZombieVision 3D. I think this could very well be an original creation not based on any movie. It could be like the Thrilling Chilling World of Rob Zombie in 1999. That would be awesome! Here's the line-up I'm predicting this year: -Original HoH overlay -3D Rob Zombie maze (Original creation) -The Wolfman -Scream -Trick r Treat -Hostel "The only thing to fear is fear itself..." -Fredy Kruger

Scream would be a very easy retheme of many of the Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street Props, I'm sure it will be here this year. I really hope Rob Zombie has something new coming!

I just think it would be easy to reuse some of the Forest sets from the Jason Maze for that but well have to wait and see. And a REALY Orignal Maze at HHN???? We can only hope

I remember Murdy's tweet some time ago saying that not many people were asking for it. :( Since John and Rob are pretty good friends, I'm almost certain that Rob Zombie will have another maze this year. It won't be Halloween since RZ can't really do that due to rights issues and that Murdy doesn't really want to do a maze on the remakes. HoTC again I just don't see happening since RZ has this sort of work ethic of wanting to do something new, as seen with his Halloween atrocit- er...remakes. I feel like RZ is wanting to do something original with John and, in terms of marketing, that would make sense. Put RZ's name on there and you have a very successful maze, as seen with HoTC. RE: Halloween Horror Nights 2011
Murdy has said he doesn't want to do more mazes that are remakes? Last years Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th were themed after the remakes (the original mazes were MUCH better), My Bloody Valentine was a remake, as was the theming for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze.
Or did you mean just the Halloween remake? WE'RE ON A MISSION FROM GOD- THE BLUES BROTHERS (1980) |
