A small event celebrating the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was held in Universal CityWalk yesterday evening. Props from the movie including a massive model of a Tyrannosaurus Rex alongside the iconic Gyrosphere, which sat just outside of the Universal Cinema for fans to snap photos with prior to viewing the new film. Costumes taken straight from the film were also displayed inside of the lobby of the Universal Cinema for additional photo opportunities.

To boost excitement among the growing crowd outside of the cinema, DJ Miss Ninja hosted a Jurassic World dance party at the Five Towers Stage where CityWalk goers could dance along to popular music. Those who were willing to show off their best dance moves or answer Jurassic Park and Jurassic World related trivia won merchandise from the films, such as pins, posters, and hats.

Trailers and sneak peaks of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom specifically directed to CityWalk goers were also played periodically throughout the event to give fans an exclusive look at the film prior to viewing it.

Finally, Voodoo Doughnut also joined in on the Jurassic celebration through releasing a limited-edition doughnut – themed to look like a raptor claw – features chocolate frosting with a raspberry-filling. The doughnut will be available for purchase through July 7th.

Overall, the event may have been short and simple, though it certainly succeeded in sparking excitement among fans of all ages, serving as both a warm welcome to those just arriving at CityWalk to view the film, and a fun conclusion for those exiting through CityWalk after a day in the park.
