HamiKuma returns for the 2026 Halloween season! The fan-favorite character will return to every Universal Studios theme park for Halloween Horror Nights, as well as Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, this fall with new entertainment offerings, character appearances, and an expanded merchandise collection.
Originally created for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Japan in 2021, HamiKuma has become one of the event’s popular original characters. Following a successful debut last year stateside, Universal is expanding the character’s presence for this year.
At Universal Studios Florida, HamiKuma will make his meet & greet debut inside the Five & Dime store during Halloween Horror Nights 35 event hours. Guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood can once again meet the character during select afternoon and early evening times on event nights.
Meanwhile, at Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, HamiKuma returns with an all-new live stage show that will be performed throughout September and October.
HamiKuma will make his debut at Universal Studios Singapore while also returning to Universal Studios Japan and Universal Beijing Resort.
Alongside the entertainment offerings, Universal is introducing an expanded lineup of HamiKuma merchandise beginning Aug 24. New items include a plaid shirt, plush backpack, and plaid fanny pack featuring plush accents inspired by the mischievous bear, adding to the growing collection of apparel and accessories available during the Halloween season.
