Meet your favorite characters in person!
Do you have a favorite Universal character? Well, our comprehensive guide will help you locate each available photo opportunity and their location. Characters are positioned in both the Upper and Lower Lots of the park.
Be sure to ask team members for specific times in which your desired character photo opportunity will appear.
Upper Lot
Lucy Ricardo
Lucy from the famous television show I Love Lucy can be found near Cartooniversal and Universal Plaza.
New York City Cop
This larger than life character directs traffic and brings a little piece of New York to California.
Doc Brown
Known for his famous time-traveling DeLorean, Doc Brown can be found near Cartooniversal on weekends and peak days. Be sure to ask him about his new 8-seat DeLorean!
Beetlejuice
The zany and unpredictable Beetlejuice can be spotted near Cartooniversal.
Spongebob Squarepants
Spongebob Squarepants can be seen visiting Universal Studios Hollywood near Cartooniversal and Universal Plaza.
Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula and The Mummy
Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula and the Mummy can be seen roaming near Universal Plaza.
Minions
Gru’s lovable and adorable lab assistants can be spotted in front of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.
Purple Minion
More crazed and unpredictable than their yellow cousins, these mutated minions can also be spotted near Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.
Gru
When he’s not bent on taking over the world, Gru can be spotted near his house in front of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.
Edith, Margo and Agnes
The girls can be spotted near Miss Hattie’s School for Girls near Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.
Scooby Doo and Shaggy
Shaggy and his pal Scooby can be spotted near French Street Bistro and Mel’s Diner.
Mime Stilt Walkers
French stilt walkers can be spotted near French Street Bistro.
The Simpsons
Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa can be spotted near the Kwik-E-Mart!
Krusty the Clown
Krusty the Clown can be spotted near the DMV in Springfield next to the Studio Tour entrance.
Sideshow Bob
Sporting his prison garb, Sideshow Bob can be seen in Springfield next to the Studio Tour arch.
Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe can be seen near the Studio Tour entrance near the loading dock. You’ll see her with her own dedicated meet-and-greet area.
Upper Lot
The Mummy Temple Guards
Guarding the treasures of Imhotep, these guards can be spotted near the entrance for Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride.
Dora the Explorer
Sporting her trademark backpack, Dora the Explorer can be spotted near Jurassic Park: The Ride.
Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron
With their own dedicated meet-and-greet area, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron can be seen near Transformers: The Ride. Be warned – these large creatures are interactive!
