After sharing a lot of fun details on the upcoming Minion Land, Universal Orlando has provided a bit more information on Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast. In Villain-Con Minion Blast, guests will compete against each other in a fully interactive gaming experience to see who will be the newest member of the Vicious 6 (from the Minions film franchise, and “history’s most infamous supervillain groups”) Guests will use an E-Liminator X blaster and glide along a moving walkway “causing as much chaos and destruction as possible to impress the villains and get more points”. Universal Orlando has released new information on their upcoming, and highly anticipated, Minion Land on Illumination Ave., opening this summer at Universal Studios Florida. The new land expands upon the wildly popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction and will debut a new collection of experiences for guests of all ages inspired by the beloved Minions franchise. Universal Parks has begun to market Fast X as it gets set to be released in theaters worldwide. At Universal Orlando, new Fast X merchandise can be found at CityWalk carts, and at Fast & Furious: Supercharged’s gift shop – Custom Gear. The merch includes a hat, t-shirt, and a toy car – Dom’s 67 Chevy El Camino. Over by the exit of Fast & Furious: Supercharged, a car and a motorcycle from the film, Fast X, are now on display. Universal Studios Japan has announced that they will be permanently closing The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man on Monday, January 22, 2024. To celebrate its final run, Universal Studios Japan will be hosting a “Final Campaign” – which will run starting July 4, 2023, until the attraction’s closure. The “Final Campaign” will include commemorative merchandise and stickers. Located in the New York section, the ride opened on January 23, 2004, meaning the closure will happen just one day shy of its 20th Anniversary. Original Story Below After a few months of sitting dormant, construction walls have arrived and now surround the Animal Actors Soundstage, also known as Stage 57. After nearly 24 years, the Temple of Poseidon was permanently sealed as Poseidon’s Fury officially closed. Located in the Lost Continent, Poseidon’s Fury was a walkthrough attraction where guests are caught in the middle of a battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkenon while inside the Temple of Poseidon. The attraction had a bit of a cult following, especially in recent years. The attraction was well-known for its spectacular themeing, including the iconic massive trident at the entrance, and an incredible “water vortex” effect. It’s beginning to look a lot like Haunt season! SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa have kicked off a new, limited-time Mayhem sale from May 8 through May 14 for this year’s Howl-O-Scream event. Guests can take advantage and save on the “Mayhem”, which offers admission to the fan-favorite Halloween event for $36.99.
