Universal Orlando has announced the return of Passholder Bonus Benefits, featuring a bunch of exclusive perks for Annual Passholders – including a special entrance, exclusive dining locations, special menu items, and more. Running from May 1 through May 26, Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy the following perks: Dedicated UOAP Entrance: Passholders can enter Universal’s Islands of Adventure through an exclusive entrance from 8am – 2pm. Universal Orlando has rolled out its Summer 2023 crepe for Central Park Crepes, and has added the Street Corn Crepe to the menu. Universal changes the food stand menu seasonally, and with Mardi Gras 2023 officially over, the Muffaletta Crepe was retired for the Street Corn Crepe. For $11.99, the crepe includes roasted corn, cojita cheese, jalapenos, ancho marinated chicken, with a cilantro line crema and blue corn tortilla strips. Construction walls have been set up around the entrance of the E.T. Adventure attraction and its connecting gift shop, E.T.’s Toy Closet, as the area is now closed off. Despite the walls, the ride remains open, with no plans to close in the foreseeable future. The gift shop is closed, however. During the construction, the entrance has been rerouted through the exit. No details or timeframe have been shared, however, per Universal Orlando’s official Twitter, the closure is due to “scheduled maintenance and making enhancements to certain areas”. Universal Orlando has reopened the snack stand in Marvel Super Hero Island at Islands of Adventure after updating and renovating the stand. The updated snack stand also featured a new menu; which includes foot long hot dog, chili cheese dog, chorizo dog, and a potato knish. In recent months, Universal has done this for several stands throughout the Resort. Universal Parks has released a new popcorn bucket featuring Toothless, the main dragon from the popular film series, How to Train Your Dragon, at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando. The bucket has several cool features, including a button to make the eyes light up and a small wind-up dial to make the wings flap for a short time. The Toothless Popcorn Bucket is available at Universal Orlando for $29.99 and comes with one free popcorn fill. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel’s food and wine event, Harbor Nights, returns to the Harbor Piazza for Harbor Nights Primavera on April 21, 2023. Taking place from 6:30pm – 9pm, the evening features select wines, sparkling wines, and expertly-prepared food from each of the hotel’s restaurants, along with live music. Tickets start at $79 plus fees. Limited VIP tickets are $109 plus fees and include all the benefits of a regular Harbor Nights ticket, plus reserved seating in a special area with a private wine station and passed hors d’oeuvres. Universal has announced that The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle, the nightly show that takes place in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, will undergo an extended closure for “future show enhancements”. The last showings will be held on May 9, 2023. Universal has not announced a timeframe on when shows will resume, or what type of enhancements are being made. Debuting in 2018, the Nighttime Lights of Hogwarts Castle uses lighting, fireworks, and projection imagery on the iconic Hogwarts Castle; highlighting the 4 different houses of the popular franchise – Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Gryffindor. Universal has announced that Poseidon’s Fury will be permanently closing at Islands of Adventure on May 10, 2023, with the attraction holding the last showings on Wednesday, May, 9. The attraction will close for “exciting new entertainment” but no other information was shared at this time. Located in the Lost Continent, Poseidon’s Fury is a walkthrough attraction where guests are caught in the middle of a battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkenon while inside the Temple of Poseidon.
