Universal’s Cinematic Celebration night show debuts at Universal Studios Florida

Universal Orlando surprised everyone last night during its 4th of July celebration by debuting their new nighttime show, Universal’s Cinematic Celebration, for technical rehearsals.

Featuring films such as Jurassic World, Harry Potter, Despicable Me & the Minions, and the Fast & Furious franchise; the new show utilizes state-of-the-art water projections, over 120 dancing fountains, and projection mapping.

Since the show is under technical rehearsals – not all aspects of the show were shown last night. A severe storm occurring right before showtime also prevented some of the pyrotechnics to be used.

As is tradition, the show is not officially open, so we will not give an official review; however, our initial thoughts on the show are very high. Please keep in mind that while the show is in technical rehearsals, show times aren’t guaranteed during your visit.

As of now, Universal has yet to announced an official opening date.
