Funnel cakes, burgers, and Chinese – oh my!

A bit of a catch-all, Hollywood Grill serves Chinese, burgers, funnel cakes, personal pizzas and more.

    The Rundown

» Location: Near the front of the park, right before you head into WaterWorld.

» What do they serve?: Chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, stir-fried Asian chicken, chilli cheese fries, onion rings, personal pizzas and funnel cakes. Like we mentioned above, Hollywood Grill is really a catch-all for a variety of food options.

» Pricing: Cheap to fair. Dishes range from $4.00 USD (a simple plate of nacho cheese fries) to $9.00 USD (chicken tenders).

» Our take: While it’s the place to go for funnel cakes within the park (which – we hear – are a bit of a mixed bag, taste wise), Hollywood Grill doesn’t stand out in any meaningful way. If you’re craving Chinese food and you’re not a fan of Panda Express, this is probably your only option within the park. But for those looking for burgers (Mel’s Dinner) and pizzas (Louie’s), there are plenty of better options available that specialize in certain food. Its close proximity to the entrance also means that the restaurant attracts a relatively high number of guests, and its cramped interior means that you can’t simply grab an item off the table and pay. Everything must be prepared and handed to you – unlike the grab-and-go style of Mel’s Diner or French Street Bistro – and you’ll most likely be left waiting for your food after you’ve paid your fare.

In the long run, you really can’t go wrong with Hollywood Grill because it’s just so bland and unremarkable. Go here if all the other options are closed in the park (which is typically the case during the last hour of park operation), but skip it if you can possibly help it. It’s one of the busiest restaurants in the park, and its location next to the entrance means that it will most certainly be busy.

But hey, we hear they have those nifty new Coke Freestyle machines, so there’s that.

    Menu

» Food Entrees: Chilly Cheese Steak Sub Sandwich, Hollywood Grill’s Famous Mac & Cheese with Chilli & Caesar Salad, 1/3 lb Cheeseburger, Turkey and Cheese Sub Sandwich.

» Chef’s Specials: Chicken Tenders, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Breast Salad.

» Lunch Special (only available after noon): Stir-fried Asian Chicken, Steamed Rice & Vegetable.

» Hollywood Sides: Nacho Cheese Fries, Chilli Cheese Fries, Onion Rings.

» Pizza Hurt Express: Personal Pan Pizza with a choice of pepperoni and cheese.

» Desserts: Fresh Funnel Cake with the option of vanilla ice cream.

» Special notes: You can substitute fries with a small salad. There’s also a Coke Freestyle machine available.
