    Universal Orlando Unveils Exclusive Florida Resident Summer Travel Offers

    This summer, Florida residents will have a variety of incredible deals to make the most out of their visit to Universal Orlando Resort. Now, Florida residents can enjoy the destination’s newest and most popular theme park experiences – including Universal’s Superstar Parade and Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular – using exclusive discounted rates and offers. And coming this summer, Universal Orlando’s brand-new blockbuster attraction, Despicable MeMinion Mayhem, will give guests even more reasons to visit. 

    Now through August 31, Florida residents can purchase a two-park annual pass and get three more months to enjoy the excitement and adventure of the theme parks. That’s three extra months to experience the stunning new enhancements on The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, relive the most powerful moments from Universal Pictures’ iconic films at Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular, and sing and dance with some of their favorite characters at Universal’s Superstar Parade.  This special offer must be purchased and activated by August 31, 2012 with select Coca-Cola products or a specially-marked cup from participating McDonald’s®.  

    Universal Orlando is also introducing an all-new summer vacation package exclusively for Florida residents. Starting at $95 per adult, per night, tax inclusive, this package includes the following:

    • 3-night hotel accommodations at a nearby Universal Partner Hotel
    • 2-day base ticket to Universal Orlando theme parks
    • One-day admission to Wet ‘n Wild Orlando waterpark – located just minutes away from Universal Orlando – featuring an all-new family water play area, Blastaway Beach, scheduled to open in June
    • Access to live entertainment at Universal CityWalk
    • Early park admission to experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and, for a limited time, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man (valid for travel through June 30)

    Guests can book this vacation package now through August 31 for travel through December 20. Guests can also upgrade their package and stay at one of three on-site hotels at Universal Orlando and receive additional benefits, including free Universal Express Unlimited access to skip the regular lines at participating rides and attractions in both theme parks. 

    And coming this summer, Universal Orlando’s newest ride, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, will take guests on an unforgettable 3-D adventure with their favorite characters from the hit film – Gru, Margo, Edith, Agnes and the mischievous minions. The experience begins when guests enter Gru’s home, where they learn that they’re being recruited to become minions and undergo “minion training.”  Things don’t go as planned, and guests find themselves on a wildly hysterical journey with Gru and his daughters.  Once guests make it through training, they join an interactive, minion-inspired dance party where they can show off their best moves.
