After approximately 11 months of refurbishment and renovation, the Incredible Hulk Coaster has official soft opened to guests.
A “Soft Opening” is essentially a technical rehearsal of a new attraction, or a final release candidate test for the ride. All the major components are installed and operational but some tweaks, changes, and updates will occur prior to the grand opening. During this time, Express Passes are also invalid for the coaster.
The revamp of the Incredible Hulk Coaster features completely new track pieces that were installed over the past few months, as well as the addition of new trains with on-board audio, a new story line, updated queue, and a completely new entrance.
The ride vehicle, which now sports a sleek, modern new look along with a brand new, in-seat audio system that booms an original ride score created by Patrick Stump, front man for rock band, Fall Out Boy.
As of now, no opening date has been officially announced. Until then, we will keep our official review in our pockets.
One thing to remember is “Soft Openings” are never promised. There is no guarantee the ride will be opening. The coaster might only open for a period of time, all day, or not at all depending on any issues or changes. There is no set schedule or guarantee it will be open until it’s officially Grand Opened.
