After nearly 24 years, the Temple of Poseidon was permanently sealed as Poseidon’s Fury officially closed.
Located in the Lost Continent, Poseidon’s Fury was a walkthrough attraction where guests are caught in the middle of a battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkenon while inside the Temple of Poseidon.
The attraction had a bit of a cult following, especially in recent years. The attraction was well-known for its spectacular themeing, including the iconic massive trident at the entrance, and an incredible “water vortex” effect.
Fans lined up in the early morning to get their final goodbyes in. Wristbands were distributed for fans who wanted to take part in the final show and were all gone by Noon.
The future of the area is unknown. Universal said it was closed for “exciting new entertainment” but no other information has been shared at this time.
