The Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Tribute Store has officially opened at Universal Studios Florida. The immersive retail location will invite guests to explore the history of the blockbuster movie as they venture through a series of themed rooms that highlight everything from pre-production elements like storyboards and blueprints to photo ops that recreate memorable scenes from the iconic film. Guests can also shop exclusive 30th-anniversary merchandise including apparel, hats, key chains, plush, collectibles, and more. The new Minion Land sign was installed today at Universal Studios Florida. The signage features a bunch of Minions working together to hold up the “Minion Land” sign, which welcomes guests to the new “Minion Land on Illumination Ave.”, which is set to open this Summer. The new land expands upon the wildly popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction and will debut a new collection of experiences for guests of all ages inspired by the beloved Minions franchise – including the new Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast and Minion Cafe. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that Halloween Horror Nights 2023 auditions are now open! Auditions are set for Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, and by appointment only. To schedule your audition, make an appointment here. Applicants must be 18+ years old and will be asked to do some improvisation and demonstrate “scare abilities”. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is also required. A current headshot and resume are preferred. After sharing a lot of fun details on the upcoming Minion Land, Universal Orlando has provided a bit more information on Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast. In Villain-Con Minion Blast, guests will compete against each other in a fully interactive gaming experience to see who will be the newest member of the Vicious 6 (from the Minions film franchise, and “history’s most infamous supervillain groups”) Guests will use an E-Liminator X blaster and glide along a moving walkway “causing as much chaos and destruction as possible to impress the villains and get more points”.
