Universal Orlando has announced dates for 2022’s Passholder Appreciation Days – taking place from August 15 thru September 30, 2022. No details have been shared just yet and will be announced at a later time. Passholder Appreciation Days is a celebration of Universal’s Passholders, where they are given extra perks and benefits – including dedicated entrances and lines, exclusive menu items and merchandise, and extra savings. Minions are invading the theme parks as Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando prepare for the theatrical release of Illumination and Universal Picture’s newest film, Minions: The Rise of Gru, on July 1. Over in Universal Studios Hollywood, guests can pick up limited-edition Verdy x Minion merchandise. The collection features a variety of apparel consisting of graphic t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, hats, and a jacket. Verdy’s signature character, Vick, can be seen alongside Minion’s newest character, Otto, on keychains along with pins, and a skate deck as well. Philly Brisket is out; Carnitas are in! Universal Orlando has tweaked the menu at Green Eggs and Ham Cafe inside Seuss Landing, adding 2 new items while dropping the Philly Brisket Tot plate. The new additions are: Carnitas Tots – $10.99 Roasted pork, jalapenos, tomato salsa, scallions, lime crema, and white cheese sauce over tater tots. Vegan Pizza Tots – $10.49 Plant-based pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese over tater tots. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the return of the Special Effects Show. The show had remained closed due to the pandemic, despite the park’s reopening last April. The Special Effects show will run daily from Friday, July 1 through Sunday, August 14, then weekends only, beginning Saturday, August 20. Located in the Upper Lot, the show features stunts, practical effects, and cutting-edge technology that takes guests behind the scenes of some of the most popular Universal Blockbusters. Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights will return this year for its 10th edition after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Guests can experience never-before-seen haunted houses, scare zones, laser tag, a dining experience, and a behind-the-scenes tour.
