to Volunteer at Five Charitable Projects As Part of Theme Park’s Annual “Day of Giving” Community Outreach Program on Thursday, November 10


Universal City, California – Hundreds of employee volunteers will deploy to five non-profit organizations throughout Los Angeles as Universal Studios Hollywood marks its 7th annual “Day of Giving” community outreach program on Thursday, November 10, 2011.

Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Day of Giving” is designed to reach a broad cross-section of groups serving diverse community needs. This year’s day-long event will feature hundreds of Universal Studios’ employees assisting such Los Angeles area non-profit organizations as AIDS Project L.A. Food Pantry, MEND – Meet Each Need with Dignity, Operation School Bell, Pacific Lodge Boys’ Home, and Union Station Homeless Services.

Employees will assist staff stocking weekly food supplies to persons affected by AIDS at AIDS Project L.A. Food Pantry; stock the food banks at MEND, the San Fernando Valley’s largest food bank and most comprehensive poverty relief organization; serve a hot lunch, prepared by Universal Studios’ executive chef at Union Station Homeless Services; beautify the grounds at the Pacific Lodge Boys’ Home, and fitting poverty-level children of LAUSD with clothing and uniforms as part of Operation School Bell.
