August 15, 2015 – Following its immense success in last year’s event, Alien vs. Predator will be returning for Halloween Horror Nights 2015.

Alien vs. Predator first made its appearance in the 1990 issue of “Dark Horse Presents #36.” Since then, the AVP series has spanned across several types of media including comic books, novels, video games, and the 20th Century Fox feature films Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem (2007). The franchise made its debut in the live haunt industry in 2014 at both Universal Studios Hollywood’s and Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Both studios approached the franchise from different angles. In Hollywood, John Murdy and Chris Williams created a maze that began with a Predator ship carrying Alien specimens crashing in a remote forest. This resulted in an all-out war for control, catching guests in the crossfire. Orlando’s Creative Director Michael Aiello invited guests to tour the Weyland-Yutani Corporation where Predators decided to attack both Aliens and visitors of this infamous facility.

This announcement season has been filled with surprises, and this maze is no different. Repeating a maze just one year apart is a bold choice for the Halloween Horror Nights creative team in Hollywood. However, John Murdy has urged time and time again that when they repeat a maze, they approach it from a completely new angle and take note of what was successful or unsuccessful before to create a brand new maze.

As always, thank you for making Inside Universal your number one source for all things Universal Studios Hollywood and Halloween Horror Nights 2015. Stay tuned as we continue to keep you up to date on the latest Halloween Horror Nights 2015 announcements!
