Universal Orlando has announced today a series of Harry Potter-based events to celebrate the new school year.
Beginning September 1, Back to Hogwarts will be able to enjoy several different events inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – including a Back to Hogwarts Social Media Meet-Up. This is a limited, special event and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis; with details to be announced soon.
A photo scavenger hunt throughout the Wizarding Worlds will also be taking place, with more details coming at a later date.
In addition, group photos and photo meet-ups will be held every Friday in September in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. The following opportunities will be as follows:
- Friday, September 7:
- Land: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade
- Location: Hogwarts Express
- Time: 2 PM EST
- Friday, September 14:
- Land: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade
- Location: Triwizard Stage
- Time: 12:45 PM EST
- Friday, September 21:
- Land: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley
- Location: Carkitt Market Stage
- Time: 12 PM EST
- Friday, September 28:
- Land: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley
- Location: Knight Bus
- Time: 2 PM EST
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their house robe, or other Wizarding World costumes; as well as enjoy all the fun in the Wizarding World areas of Universal – including The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle, which will run select nights in September.
