During a panel at Midsummer Scream 2022, John Murdy announced Scarecrow: The Reaping will be featured as a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The original house will be Hollywood’s take on a house that was featured in Orlando at their event in 2017.

Set during the Dust Bowl era in America’s Midwest, guests will enter abandoned farmhouses where scarecrows are creating new ones from trespassers. The house will be located in one of the tents on the Curious George Parking Lot.

While not announced, Murdy also teased another haunted house centered around a “ghost story in a luxury Hollywood hotel” during the Roaring 20s.

Halloween Horror Nights takes place on select nights between September 8 through October 31.

This year, the event will feature 8 haunted houses, the Terror Tram, scare zones, a live show, and of course, the chance to ride some of Universal’s awesome attractions.
