The newest Tribute Store has opened up as Universal Orlando gears up for 2023’s Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval.

Now located in Hollywood, guests can stock up on the latest Mardi Gras merchandise and goodies.

The highly immersive retail location is themed to represent an international jazz celebration which eventually leads into a New Orleans speakeasy.

Guests first enter the Ambassador Ballroom, where the jazz celebration takes place. If you look up to the “2nd Floor”, you can find all the countries – along with the “Carnaval” they celebrate – that will be featured on menus at this year’s event.

The 2nd room is inspired by a New Orleans back alleyway to sneak into the “Brass and Brimstone” – the 3rd room’s Speakeasy. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some nods to some Universal fan favorites, including Earl the Squirrel.

The statue in the 2nd room teases where you’ll be sneaking into…
“Count Squirrel Ave “, a reference to Earl the Squirrel

While well-themed, the store is noticeably smaller than previous versions due to the location change – so crowds may present a problem, especially if this remains permanent during this year’s Horror Nights event.

Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval kicks off this SaturdayFebruary 4. The fan-favorite event returns to Universal Studios Florida with a dazzling parade, mouthwatering cuisine inspired by global Carnaval celebrations, and star-studded live concerts on select nights.
