Demolition on Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone begins

Demolition is well underway at the former Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone in Universal Studios Florida.

From ground level, it’s easy to notice the large, red water pump from Fievel’s Playland is now gone.
Recent aerial photos posted by bioreconstruct on Twitter show a lot more demolition has taken place – with Curious George Goes to Town and Fievel’s Playland nearly gone.

Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone officially closed at Universal Studios Florida on Monday, January 16, with DreamWorks Destination, Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster, Fievel’s Playground, Curious George Goes to Town, and the new Shrek Meet & Greet all part its closure. The ET Adventure, Animal Actors on Location!, Spongebob StorePants, and KidZone Pizza Company all remain open.

Universal hasn’t outright stated what the replacement will be other than the new area will “immerse guests in the adventures of beloved animated adventures”, which could mean an entire DreamWorks land.
