Universal Orlando has set Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to temporarily close for a day on June 8, 2023. The brief closure is most likely maintenance related. Universal Parks has begun to market Fast X as it gets set to be released in theaters worldwide. At Universal Orlando, new Fast X merchandise can be found at CityWalk carts, and at Fast & Furious: Supercharged’s gift shop – Custom Gear. The merch includes a hat, t-shirt, and a toy car – Dom’s 67 Chevy El Camino. Over by the exit of Fast & Furious: Supercharged, a car and a motorcycle from the film, Fast X, are now on display. Universal Studios Japan has announced that they will be permanently closing The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man on Monday, January 22, 2024. To celebrate its final run, Universal Studios Japan will be hosting a “Final Campaign” – which will run starting July 4, 2023, until the attraction’s closure. The “Final Campaign” will include commemorative merchandise and stickers. Located in the New York section, the ride opened on January 23, 2004, meaning the closure will happen just one day shy of its 20th Anniversary. UPDATE 5/16/2023 Walls are now up around the Castle Theatre, aka Stage 56, where the Special Effects Show was held. Original Story Below After a few months of sitting dormant, construction walls have arrived and now surround the Animal Actors Soundstage, also known as Stage 57. Meanwhile, the Castle Theatre, where the Special Effects Show was located, is still blocked off by barricades. After nearly 24 years, the Temple of Poseidon was permanently sealed as Poseidon’s Fury officially closed. Located in the Lost Continent, Poseidon’s Fury was a walkthrough attraction where guests are caught in the middle of a battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkenon while inside the Temple of Poseidon. The attraction had a bit of a cult following, especially in recent years. The attraction was well-known for its spectacular themeing, including the iconic massive trident at the entrance, and an incredible “water vortex” effect.
