Universal Orlando has announced details on 2022’s Passholder Appreciation Days, including discounts, benefits, and menus exclusive to Universal Annual Passholders beginning August 15 and continuing through September 30. Some of the benefits for APs include a Collectible UOAP Magnet inspired by Revenge of the Mummy, as well as Exclusive Merchandise – including an all-new spirit jersey, stemless cup, and “more”. Universal Orlando has implemented a new curfew policy for minors at CityWalk. Guests under the age of 18 are no longer allowed to enter CityWalk after 9 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays and are required to depart unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, staying at a Universal Hotel and can present their hotel key card, or seeing a movie at Cinemark. Universal Orlando has announced that guests staying on-site will be able to “keep the screams going” as a new Universal Monsters-themed photo gallery experience is coming to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The Spooky Swizzle Lounge will also be returning this year, taking over the Swizzle Lounge in the Cabana Bay lobby. The photo experience is inspired by this year’s all-new house – Universal Monsters: Legend Collide, featuring Dracula, Wolfman, and The Mummy. Universal Orlando is now selling pairs of Reeboks inspired by Jurassic World: Dominion around the Resort. The sneakers are available at Jurassic Outfitters in Islands of Adventure and the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk. The Blue/Beta Raptor Sneakers ($100) are predominantly gray and feature Blue and Beta’s distinguishable blue streak. The Biosyn Zig Kinetica ($140) is inspired by the biotech corporation from Dominion and features neutral blues, browns, and grays – with a dino-like skin pattern streaking down the shoe. Prepare thy bank accounts! Universal Orlando has released merchandise for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 31 over at the recently rethemed All Hallows’ Eve Boutique at Islands of Adventure. The store recently ditched the tiki summer vibe in lieu of pumpkins and vintage Halloween decor as Universal gears up for the 2022 Halloween season. So far, the merchandise released features 4 different design lines. Universal Orlando has confirmed that the Summer Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida will be closing on August 7. The limited-time retail store transports guests to a 1980s movie theater featuring rooms based on some of Universal Pictures’ iconic films – “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” “JAWS” and “Back to the Future”. Once the Store closes, the transition to the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store should begin immediately. Universal Orlando is now offering the option of having a foam-free Butterbeer, allowing for those with special dietary needs to be able to now enjoy the famed beverage. Foam-free Butterbeer is available for all 3 versions of the drink – regular, frozen, and hot. The foam-free option makes Regular and Frozen Butterbeer dairy-free and vegan-friendly. During a panel at Midsummer Scream 2022, John Murdy announced Scarecrow: The Reaping will be featured as a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Studios Hollywood. The original house will be Hollywood’s take on a house that was featured in Orlando at their event in 2017. Set during the Dust Bowl era in America’s Midwest, guests will enter abandoned farmhouses where scarecrows are creating new ones from trespassers.
