SeaWorld Putting Finishing Touches on Mako & Surrounding Area

SeaWorld is putting the finishing touches on Mako and the surrounding Shark Wreck Reef as we get closer to the June 10th opening.

The Mako store has opened up and features a whole variety of shark-themed merchandise – including a section dedicated to famed artist/conservationist Guy Harvey. Some of the merchandise you can find include Mako/Guy Harvey Tervis, plush dolls, and the usual t-shirts, tanks, coffee mugs, & more.

Outside in the almost-completed Shark Wreck Reef, guests can see the recently completed mural that Guy Harvey painted over the past few days.

The themeing in the Shark Realm is getting the last details added, including some educational signs have been installed. The Mako marquee has been added near the ride’s entrance, and some painting has been done to add color to the “coral”.

Once opened, Mako will be Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster and will be the centerpiece of Shark Wreck Reef.

The two-acre realm will be fully shark themed and include Mako, Shark Encounter, Sharks Underwater Grill, shops, shark and shipwreck theming and educational experiences featuring sharks.
