The first track pieces have begun installation on the Fast & Furious Coaster, currently under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Currently, the track has only been installed in the purported coaster station; but the surrounding area has been preparing the hillside for beam support – meaning we should start seeing more tracks installed soon.

Announced last Summer, Universal Studios Hollywood states the new coaster will feature “innovative and technological achievements never previously employed to this all-new thrill ride”. Unfortunately, no other details have been shared, including an opening date or if this impacts the future of the Supercharged section of the Studio Tour.

The coaster is set to take over the area in the Upper Lot where the Animal Actors Stage, the Special Effects Show, and the Production Central were once located.
