Universal Studios Hollywood has announced “Running Universal,” a series of fun runs that kicks off with a Minion–themed 5K on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The inaugural Minion Run, featuring Illumination’s mischievous Minions, invites participants ages five and older (of all experience levels) to wind their way around Universal Studios Hollywood and through parts of Universal Studios’ historic backlot. Universal Orlando Resort has provided a first look at the guest rooms inside its newest and seventh hotel, Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites – set to grand open next summer 2019. From the vibrant color scheme to warm wood tones, guests will step into the free-spirited lifestyle of surf culture at Universal Orlando’s first-ever Value category hotel. Details like a full-sized surfboard, colorful artwork, bright pinstriped rug runners, and tie-dye curtains will be featured inside the rooms. SeaWorld Orlando seems to have found their niche lately and have found tremendous success with their events, specifically when it comes to food & drink festivals. This year, SeaWorld has decided to take advantage of an otherwise slow period between the Halloween and Christmas season and introduce the new Craft Beer Festival. One of the more common complaints from fans of Horror Nights past is they miss the old days where they didn’t have to enter a haunted house in a conga line. Since last night was light on the crowds, Universal Orlando decided to test out “line pulsing” at each house throughout the night. Line pulsing is when guests are separated into smaller groups to enter a haunted house, usually in groups of 8-10. The new Globus Mundi store has soft opened inside the Wizarding World – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. The store, themed to a magical travel agency, sells an assortment of merchandise based on travel – including luggage tags, as well as Hogwarts Express and Platform 9 3/4 merch. Universal Parks have begun selling new replica wands based on the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The wands are available at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, sold inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
