Today, Universal Orlando confirmed that Universal’s Superstar Parade will end its run on June 4. Debuting in 2012, the parade features characters from Despicable Me, Nickelodeon’s Dora & Diego and SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Secret Life of Pets. Guests can find most of the same spooky merchandise from before, but the theme now celebrates the Summer and Tiki culture with Universal’s Classic Monsters. As you enter, Frankenstein’s Monster and his Bride welcome guests in their beachwear and surfboards. Floral leis, tiki mugs, and posters can be found throughout the store. Universal Orlando announced today that Monsters Cafe, the themed quick-service restaurant dedicated to the Classic Universal Monsters and Horror films, has permanently closed. Per Universal Orlando: Monsters Cafe has closed to make way for a new dining experience. More details will be shared at a later time. Located in Production Central in Universal Studios Florida, the restaurant had had been in operation since 1998. The restaurant had become popular amongst horror fans to get their horror fix during the Halloween off-season.
SeaWorld Orlando has announced the return of Howl-O-Scream for the 2022 haunt season, coming back with a vengeance for its second year; with “more screams, suspense, and surprises.” Howl-O-Scream will run from September 9 to October 31.
